After start my full time job since last year, It doesn’t feel good with boring routine life. So, I have been searching for places to visit which we can make it during weekend (1-2 days).
Karangahake Gorge is just less than 2 hours drive from Auckland. It is an amazing place for a walk and cycle. This place is highly recommended!!
It was raining when we arrived. Glad that we waited till the rain stop. We went for a walk through the 1100km tunnel and the other side of the tunnel, there is a bridge across the river and walk back to the start point.
The walk is connected to the Windows Walk which cover the historical and scenic highlights of the Gorge. The walk through a swing bridge (it is actually quite stable when walking on it) over the river, between the valley is stunning!
This beautiful valley is just 5 mins away from the L & P Town – Paeroa, where you can stop by and walk around.
